I first started metal detecting when I was about 10 years old - with an old Radio Shack BFO unit! Mainly a coin hunter for many years, I got my first taste of Relic Hunting when a friend took me to a hunted out Civil War camp. I found one round ball - but that was enough to hook me for life! That was 15 years and many bullets ago. I still hunt for coins, but it's really the relics I'm after... I guess it just gets into your blood!
