Hey Dig It,  I just read your post about the Newbie needing a place to take his family for the weekend where he could check out his new detector. I don't know how far it would be for him to travel, but if he's into camping. he could take his family to the CrossCountry campground in Denver N.C. back in the 80's the Southeastern Championship treasue hunt was held there for a number of years.  He could ask the managment to point out the fields where the hunts were held and he might find some silver.  Another place that might work is the Kings Mtn. State park.  They have camping as well and the Rangers would probobly let him coin shoot around the swimming lake and in the camping area.  Of course there's always the beaches on the coast.  But where ever he goes, he should just

    Keep on diggin!!!
