Jamison Murphy here, I don't know if any of you remember my family and I coming to the meetings when we lived in Rock Hill a few years ago. I was detecting with a couple of Whites 6000 Di Series 3 detectors ( one regular one hip model). Well since then we have moved over to the Indianland area and I switched from flying for USAir Express to flying for Boeing on the "Dreamlifter" out of Charleston. Lately the bug has bit me to hunt again now that my young son is old enough to get out and hunt too. I recently sold my 2 old Whites detectors on EBay ( I was really amazed by the interest they generated and surprised how much I got for them...since after all they are 80's technology) When I mailed the detectors out I realized for the first time in 28 years I didn't own a detector ( my first one was a Whites from Sears that Santa brought for Christmas after I drove my parents nuts asking them for it for months) and even if I wasn't using it I knew that if there was a slow day I could run up and grab it. So I thought what the heck Ill buy a low priced detector to have around. Well detector research gave me the bug so I ended up with a GTI 2500 Pro (and hiding the receipt from the wife ;) I am currently working (we work on flight duty 16 days and then are off for the rest of the month) but sometimes in Charleston it's slow and I head up home...so Im hoping to be up there for this months meeting along with my son.
