Making the Best of the Heat

Ran out to my community spot that I invited the club to in Lexington.  Hunted for 2 hours before the heat drove me home for H2O and cool shower.  They have started clearing in good target areas.  First found a couple chunks of camp lead and decided to slow down.  Next find was a dropped 3-Ringer followed by 2 pistol balls.  The find of the day followed shortley with a Scipt Block I in good condition.  Wrapped the short hunt up with a musket ball, Indian Head penny and pcs to a South Carolina Distillary bottle.  Covered about 4 or 5 acres.  Anybody plan on heading that way, give me a call and I can direct them to this location.

This was probably my last hunt in South Carolina.  I have accepted a new job and will be relocating to Colorado the first  of August.  I will update the club with contact info after I get settled into my new digs.

    Good Hunting

    Great finds Trace!!!!!

I have spent the last 4 hours on the lawn mover -- would have much rather been digging in the heat instead of mowing.

Sorry to hear that you will be leaving the area, it has been a pleasure knowing you. Good luck in your new job.

Keep us posted on any finds you run across in Colorado.

Trace, on behalf of the club, I would like to say that it has been a pleasure knowing you and wish you nothing but the best.  May God go with you in your new endevor and bless you with a great new life out there in Colorado.  We as a group are a better bunch of people because we got to know you for the short time you were with us.  Hope you get to know some new friends out there and do some ghost town hunting and maybe do some gold nugget shooting.  You know you can keep in touch by way of our forum, and you can still be a member.  You'll be sure to win the award for the member who travels the greatest distance to the meetings.  We will miss you and we thank you for your generosity with telling the club about some of your hunting spots.  We need more members like you.  Stay in touch and have a great life.
