    my first confederate button

I went to Trace site today. hunted for about 2 1/2 hrs. about 10 minutes in found what i think is a real nice artillery fragment. Trace stopped by and talked with him for a few minutes and then went hunting again not long after that I hit paydirt. a nice confederate CAST I button. I couldn't believe it.It ened up being a good day.  1 artillery frag, 1 cast I, 1 flat button and 4 bullets.  the TDI did well.  Trace, thanks so much for the opportunity.  Jeff

Way to go Jeff, I know that spot has so much more to offer.  You have to earn it in this heat.  I encourage and invite anyone to take advantage of that place before it's too late.

Nice find Jeff.  Can't wait to see it at the meeting.  I think me and Randy and Rick if he's availible might run down after lunch on Sunday.  Hope to see a bunch of other people there.  Got to get me one of them Confederate buttons too.  It has been a long dry spell for me.  If I don't see you Sunday then I'll see you at the meeting Tuesdaty.  Until then just

    just keep on diggin.

Glad to hear you found some nice diggs. That site has much more to offer. Its just a matter of time before it is wiped out and under blacktop.

If you are going out there on Sunday I think I will see you out there.
